Cheating the distance

Pretty much the plan was to start the westward ride from Charlotte, NC... Rode to Cary Amtrak station, took train 79 Carolinian Nee-York to Charlotte and ride to the hotel near airport...

The train was 1 hour late to Charlotte. Though I knew it, rode to hotel in the dark with all lights on.

The 14-mile route took me through a cemetery which I entered and couldn’t get out of it since it was fenced all around... So I lost some time there dodging the dead...

In hotel now, repacking, cleaning and relubing chain, charging things....

Tomorrow is 110-mile ride to a campground nearSaluda, NC. The details of tomorrow route and ride will be posted tomorrow...
